Brandy and Rebecca created this workshop because equine therapy is a new and emerging field that is gaining traction quick! With few regulations being in place with this new field Brandy and Rebecca found it important to put together a comprehensive presentation to help other professionals begin to navigate what it looks like to step into the field of equine psychotherapy.

What will the objectives be for this program?
- Differentiate among various types of equine-assisted services (e.g., equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP), equine-assisted/facilitated learning (EAL/EFL), hippotherapy), and identify appropriate client populations for each modality. In addition, apply criteria for evaluating the quality and appropriateness of equine-assisted psychotherapy services when making referrals or seeking professional training
- Describe the core components and requirements of established training programs for professionals pursuing equine-assisted psychotherapy

- Demonstrate an introductory understanding of equine-assisted interventions through observation and participation in structured, experiential activities

3 hour workshop: workshop will be broken up with a classroom learning portion as well as a hands on demonstration learning portion
Cost: $150 for Professionals and $75 for Graduate Students
