Equine-assisted psychotherapy is a young field, and it is growing faster than its rules. Rebecca Winn, MA, LPC, NCC, GEP and Brandy Burch, PsyD, PMH-C built these workshops so clinicians can learn the language, the competency standards, and the felt sense of the work. You will not only hear about the horses. You will stand with them.

What clinicians ask first
Do these workshops offer NBCC credit?
Yes, qualifying workshops do. Renewing Hope Ranch is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 8091. The Introduction workshop is 3.0 clock hours. Hours for each agenda are listed on that workshop. If a program does not qualify, we say so.
Who is this for?
Licensed mental health professionals and graduate counseling students. Some of you already practice with horses. Some of you are deciding whether you should. Both belong here.
Is this the same as Living Courage?
No. Living Courage and Living In Courage are free days for people who serve. They are not classes, and they are not offered for NBCC credit. If that is the day you need, it is on the Programs page.
Do I need horse experience?
No. You need clinical training, or you need to be in it. The horses do not require you to know their language. The workshop will teach you what you are looking at.
What does it cost?
Each workshop sets its own fee.
What if I need to cancel?
The refund and payment policy is the rule we keep. Read it before you register.
Is this supervision or my own therapy?
Neither. This is education. It is not clinical supervision, and it is not a personal therapy intensive. If you are in immediate danger, call 988 or 911.
Where is the ranch?
Morrison, Colorado, in the foothills west of Denver. We send arrival details when you are registered. GPS gets you close. We get you the rest of the way.
Come learn it properly.
Workshops have a fee. The horses are part of the classroom, not a bonus hour.
