Shiloh

Shiloh came to us in 2019 as the third horse to join the herd. We got him in March, and in August Renewing Hope Ranch officially launched at our own location. He came out of a rescue in Brighton, Colorado. There was not much of a story that came with him. Over the years we have learned that he has all the “fancy buttons,” so somewhere along the way he was probably a show horse. He was always very anticipatory and worried about getting the wrong answer — very hard to connect with because he was always guessing to get it right. We spent years helping him become more connected and less anticipatory.

Shiloh has taught us what it means to give of yourself and a true servant’s heart. He has stepped into his own confidence and leaned into teaching new people that horses are safe and loving.

Age

His age was unknown, though the woman at the rescue guessed around twelve. When our dentist came out a couple of years ago she helped us age the horses and said he was probably in his mid-twenties then. We celebrate him on March 7, 2001.

Care

Shiloh is one of our horses in really good health. We provide turmeric to support his joints and overall wellness.
